Spiritual goals work the same way. For example, "I resolve to spend more time with God this year." Great! What's the plan?
* I will set aside a specific time and place daily to pray and read God's Word.
But Jesus Himself would often slip away to the wilderness
and pray. ~ Luke 5:16 (NAS)
* I will schedule this time in my calendar. (What doesn't get scheduled, doesn't get done!)
Live life, then, with a due sense of responsibility, not as men who
do not know the meaning and purpose of life but as those who do.
Make the best use of your time, despite all the difficulties of these
days. ~ Ephesians 5:15 (J.B. Phillips)
* I will choose friends to whom I can not only be accountable to but seek encouragement from.
A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two
can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a
triple-braided cord is not easily broken.~ Ecclesiastes 4:12 (NLT)
A goal without a plan is just a wish. ~ Antoine de Saint-Exupery
