When the Pharisees criticized the disciples for eating with ‘unclean’ hands, Jesus’ response, as usual, cut directly to the heart of the matter (literally), with precision aim. He told them, “Nothing outside a man can make him ‘unclean’ by going into him. Rather, it is what comes out of a man that makes him ‘unclean’. (Mark 7:15, emphasis mine)
