In today's world, corruption is rampant and character is barely an afterthought. It's tempting to think things like, "If you can't beat 'em, join 'em!" or "You have to play the game to succeed."
We can know God personally.
Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed
in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.
We can continue to grow in our relationship with Him.
To those who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to
my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know
the truth, and the truth will set you free.” ~John 8:31-32
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation,
by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your
requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends
all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in
Christ Jesus. ~Philippians 4:6-7
We can live each day through the power of His Spirit.
For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives
us power, love and self-discipline. ~2 Timothy 1:7
I can do all this through him who gives me strength.
In this way, we can escape being drawn into the corruption in this world.
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed
by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and
approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous;
be strong. ~1 Corinthians 16:13
