The greatest source of power available to a leader is trust that derives from faithfully serving followers. " ~James O’Toole,
Professor of Leadership Studies, University of Southern California
One thing that has struck me about the time in which we live is how quickly we point out the faults and deficiencies of others. We are really hard on one another. While we certainly suffer many failings, this might be our prevailing national sin.
Take a look at the men that Jesus chose to surround himself with – the men he entrusted the Good News to. They were primarily fishermen and a tax collector. Jesus, the Master-Leader saw the potential in people.
"The potential of the average person is like a huge ocean unsailed, a new continent unexplored, a world of possibilities waiting to be released and channeled toward some great good." ~Brian Tracy
Allow me to see good in the lives of people today. So many find fault, criticize and major on the minors of life. Help me to see the potential you see in others.
And speaking of potential, allow me to see my own unique potential for making a positive difference in my world.
~ Lee Wise, A Simple Prayer
