Joining the Marines right out of high school, JL deliberately left his parents, his girlfriend, and the church he sometimes attended on Sunday mornings. He excelled as a Marine, graduating as the Company Honor Man I basic training, setting the range and marksmanship record, and receiving a meritorious promotion.
But Randy didn’t let that stop him. Shortly after JL was discharged from the Corps, he received a letter from Randy with good news: the guy who had beaten him up had come to faith in Christ. Now the two of them were sharing Christ with the other Marines.
