along the ground.” ~Genesis 1:26
Therefore, we will have impact.
The only question that remains is what kind of impact will we have? Will our impact be Holy Spirit-influenced?
The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness,
goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.
~ Galatians 5:22-23
In our interactions with others, will we be inconsiderate or will we be kind?
With our time and our money, will we be greedy or will we be generous?
In our actions, will we succumb to rash carelessness or will reflect self-control ?
In our waiting and in our disappointments, will we display anger and frustration or patience?
When others are down, will we use our words to keep them there or to build them up and provide compassion and hope?
Ultimately as we go about our day to day living, will we choose to interact with those around us in a way that reflects scarcity or abundance - that is the abundant love that God has poured and continues to pour into us? When we don't know God's love for us, we operate from a position of scarcity (unloved, not good enough, etc.). Under these circumstances, the impact that we were designed to have becomes corrupted and destructive.
“A new command I give you: Love one another.
As I have loved you, so you must love one another."
~ Jesus, John 13:34
Let's make time this week to grow in the knowledge of God's love for us so that we can continue to reflect that back to those that God has put in our lives.
Choosing our impact together...
