He is the Messiah—the long awaited One. “The (Samaritan) woman said, ‘I know that Messiah (called Christ) is coming.’ Then Jesus declared, ‘I who speak to you am He’ “ (John 4 25-26).
He is the Good Shepherd—the One who tenderly cares for His sheep. Jesus said “I am the good shepherd” (John 10:11).
He is Immanuel—the One who is always with us. “The virgin will give birth to a son and they will call him Immanuel which means God with us” (Matthew 1:23).
He is the way, the truth and the life—Jesus is the only way to a personal relationship with God. He is the true reality. He gives life, abundant and eternal. “Jesus answered, ‘I am the way the truth and the life’ “ (John 14:6).
He is our Redeemer—the One who bought us out of slavery to sin. “In Him we have redemption through His blood” (Ephesians 1:7).
He is Lord—the One to whom we owe all that we are and have. Praise and honor belong to Him. “Therefore, God exalted Him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father.”
To God be the glory...
