In Genesis, the sinful nature of man was revealed in the circumstance of temptation.
Then, the road to character growth began in relationship. God intentionally reached out to Adam. Without that relationship, Adam would have likely continued to hide in shame. Shame begets more shame.
Character cannot be grown in a vacuum; but must be intentionally built within the context of relationship - with God and with those God has chosen to surround us with.
As we move into September, let's be intentional about spending time with God and in His Word.

Let's be intentional about taking time to be with each other and spur one another on.
And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another. ~Hebrews 10:24-25
